Soggy Daughter

So far this year the bus has come at a different time every day, which makes it difficult to figure out when to be at the end of the street. Most days it's fine. Unless it's raining out of nowhere.

Production Notes

For this comic I didn't do the full coloring. So much faster! I also did the tones directly over the inks. So after scanning, all I had to do was remove the pink guides and then fiddle with the levels and add a little color back into the greys. A very quick process. I was a little worried that the pink guides would be harder to remove with the wash overtop, but it worked surprisingly well!

For most of the inks, I'm drawing on paper with riso printed fluorescent pink guides, which are light and super easy to subtract in photoshop.
